How Does Hot Air Kill Head Lice?

Many may wonder how hot air kills head lice. I initially thought the same thing, but it quickly became clear as to why it works. There are two different ways to think about this process.  We are all familiar with dehydration and the understanding that you need water to survive. Or you can think of it as wet clothes spinning in a hot dryer. Either example works to understand the process of the hot air treatment.
